href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> as Election momentum=\"\"><\/partner-banner>\n<p>Lichtman, an American University professor who has correctly predicted the outcome of nine out of the 10 most recent presidential elections, earlier this month forecasted that the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz ticket would win the White House.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, Silver, a political pollster and founder of FiveThirtyEight, released data showing vice president Harris ahead of former President Donald Trump in the national polling average by nearly three points \u2013 48.9% to 46% \u2013 but Trump and vice presidential candidate JD Vance have a 56.2% chance of winning the Electoral College compared to Harris-Walz (43.5%).<\/p>\n<p><media-image Harris in Arizona, poll finds<\/span><\/p>\n<p>On Friday, Silver questioned Lichtman&#8217;s abilities to read his own 13 keys used to make presidential election calls. &#8220;At least 7 of the keys, maybe 8, clearly favor Trump. Sorry brother, but that&#8217;s what the keys say. Unless you&#8217;re admitting they&#8217;re totally arbitrary?&#8221; <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NateSilver538\/status\/1839748320308453387\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NateSilver538\/status\/1839748320308453387\">Silver posted on X<\/a>, the social media site previously known as Twitter.<\/p>\n<partner-banner util-module-path=\"elements\/partner\" fluid=\"\" bottom=\"\" lazy=\"\" class=\"spacer-large\" min-height=\"390\" outstream=\"\"><\/partner-banner><partner-inline util-module-path=\"elements\/partner\" class=\"spacer-large\" placement=\"native-article_link\" sizes=\"[[300, 250], [3, 3]]\" min-height=\"250\" fluid=\"\" outstream=\"\"><\/partner-inline>\n<p>To that, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AllanLichtman\/status\/1839747409699844207\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AllanLichtman\/status\/1839747409699844207\">Lichtman responded back on X<\/a> that Silver &#8220;claims to have applied my keys to predict a Trump victory. He doesn\u2019t have the faintest idea how to turn the keys.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lichtman continued: &#8220;He\u2019s not a historian or a political scientist. He has no academic credentials. He was wrong when he said I could not make an early prediction of Obama\u2018s re-election (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.american.edu\/media\/news\/20100712_lichtman_predicts_obama_wins_reelection_2012.cfm\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.american.edu\/media\/news\/20100712_lichtman_predicts_obama_wins_reelection_2012.cfm\">in 2010<\/a>). He\u2019ll be wrong again in trying to analyze the keys.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lichtman reiterated his questioning of Silver&#8217;s ability to &#8220;turn the keys&#8221; in a video on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@allanlichtman\/video\/7419493260449631534?is_from_webapp=1&amp;sender_device=pc&amp;web_id=7385650628561831467\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@allanlichtman\/video\/7419493260449631534?is_from_webapp=1&amp;sender_device=pc&amp;web_id=7385650628561831467\">TikTok<\/a> Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>The back and forth continued with Silver on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NateSilver538\/status\/1840053088163393705\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NateSilver538\/status\/1840053088163393705\">Saturday posting on X<\/a> that &#8220;Lichtman is comically overconfident and doesn&#8217;t own up to the subjectivities in his method, but you&#8217;ll legit learn a lot about presidential elections by reading his work, and he&#8217;s at least putting himself out there making testable predictions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<partner-banner util-module-path=\"elements\/partner\" fluid=\"\" bottom=\"\" lazy=\"\" class=\"spacer-large\" min-height=\"600\" outstream=\"\" momentum=\"\"><\/partner-banner>\n<p>Most of the online audience seemed to enjoy the squabble.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you don&#8217;t know what they&#8217;re talking about this whole exchange looks like two wizards bickering,&#8221; Capitol Forum reporter Paul McLeod <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/pdmcleod\/status\/1839783215365525977\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/x.com\/pdmcleod\/status\/1839783215365525977\">commented<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Back in July after President Joe Biden&#8217;s first post-debate television interview, Silver suggested Biden should step back as a presidential candidate and let Vice President Kamala Harris\u00a0run. &#8220;The most generous way to put it is that he doesn&#8217;t seem in command,&#8221;
