Day 4 Night, a new video game<\/a> studio founded by Read Dead Redemption<\/em> lead designer and writer Christian Cantamesse, and Mario + Rabbids<\/em> series<\/a> creative director Davide Soliani, has announced<\/a> its establishment. The studio, which is focused on creating content that \u201cpushes the boundaries of storytelling and game design,\u201d is currently developing an \u201centirely original new game.\u201d <\/p>\n

The studio also announced that it has secured its first round of financing, led by major publisher KRAFTON, and with participation from Xbox co-creator Ed Fries\u2019 1Up Ventures.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first fell in love with video games at the start of my career, I saw the power of this new medium to tell stories never told before and create worlds that could transform people,\u201d said Christian Cantamessa in a press release. \u201cDay 4 Night is a return to that innovative spirit, to that innocence, to that unbridled creativity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davide Soliani added, \u201cWhat we are crafting at Day 4 Night is a reflection of everything I\u2019ve ever wanted to experience as a player \u2013 joy, adventure, poetry, action, wonder, and the pleasure of working with friends. It\u2019s a lullaby for my soul and a serenade to our industry, to the magic and the madness of creating worlds from nothing. It\u2019s a story about triumphs, challenges, dreams, to light the path we walk together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cantamessa and Soliani are joined by co-founders Cristina Nava, Gian Marco Zanna, and Luca Breda, who previously worked on major franchises including Mario + Rabbids<\/em>, Just Dance<\/em>, Ghost Recon<\/em>, and Star Wars<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cDay 4 Night\u2019s pitch presented a highly engaging and captivating story,\u201d said KRAFTON vice president and head of corporate development Maria Park. \u201cThe game\u2019s vision stands out as both original and creative, making it a great match for the type of studios we aim to support at KRAFTON.
