The blockchain analysis outfit isn\u2019t sharing why but says the development is temporary.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to The Block, which first <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/319431\/chainalysis-ceo-michael-gronager-steps-back-personal-issue\">reported the news<\/a>, Chainalysis President and COO Sari Granat,\u00a0 who joined the outfit in 2022, is acting as interim CEO.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ten-year-old, New York-based Chainalysis quickly developed a reputation as a \u201ccrypto detective,\u201d working on behalf of the U.S. government and corporate clients. A year ago, Chainalysis laid off slightly more than 15% of its staff of 900, with plans to focus more squarely on government contracting, according to The Block.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The outfit, whose early investors include Benchmark, was valued by investors at $8.6 billion during its sixth funding round in 2022. Crypto investor Katie Haun, who first discovered Chainalysis in her capacity as federal prosecutor, reportedly began <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theinformation.com\/articles\/haun-ventures-buys-the-dip-in-chainalysis?rc=omehqc\">buying up <\/a>secondary shares of the company at a valuation of $2.5 billion this past April.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
