{"id":641100,"date":"2024-10-10T02:30:01","date_gmt":"2024-10-09T23:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/jay-zs-lawyer-rips-piers-morgan-over-comparing-him-to-diddy\/"},"modified":"2024-10-10T02:30:01","modified_gmt":"2024-10-09T23:30:01","slug":"jay-zs-lawyer-rips-piers-morgan-over-comparing-him-to-diddy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/jay-zs-lawyer-rips-piers-morgan-over-comparing-him-to-diddy\/","title":{"rendered":"#JAY-Z\u2019s Lawyer Rips Piers Morgan Over Comparing Him To Diddy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div itemprop=\"articleBody\">JAY-Z\u2018s lawyer has ripped into Piers Morgan over his recent episode hosting singer Jaguar Wright, who made a number of wild claims comparing the music mogul to Diddy.<\/p>\n<p>As previously reported, while on <em>Piers Morgan Uncensored<\/em>, Wright claimed that Jay and Beyonc\u00e9 are a \u201cnasty couple\u201d who do \u201cnasty things,\u201d such as \u201ckeeping people against their will, putting people on planes while they\u2019re unconscious, just like Aaliyah got on that plane, unconscious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the show\u2019s airing, Morgan issued a rare apology for Wright\u2019s \u201ctotally false\u201d claims \u2014 and in a new interview, the Carters\u2019 attorney Alex Spiro explained that he\u2019d threatened legal action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s rumors and then there\u2019s nonsense and this is one step further,\u201d he told <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2024\/10\/09\/jay-z-beyonce-angry-piers-morgan-jaguar-wright-allegations-alex-spiro\/\"><em>TMZ<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThis is a pointed and formal accusation of something and I felt it needed to be responded to. I think somebody reported it was a cease and desist \u2014 it wasn\u2019t that. It was quite bluntly an ultimatum, which was remove that accusation that\u2019s demonstrably false or a court\u2019s going to order you to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cAnd in doing that to get clicks, he didn\u2019t just harm the Carters. What he did effectively was to drown out the voices of actual victims in an ongoing case, in an ongoing investigation \u2014 and that was too much for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/share.tmz.com\/watch\/2024-10-09-100924-alex-spiro-1910108-014\/\" width=\"560\" height=\"395\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In his apology, Piers Morgan said: \u201cLast week, I interviewed Jaguar Wright, a singer-songwriter who\u2019s made claims about Diddy for years. Those claims [have received] a lot of attention in the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> across many platforms for many years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd that\u2019s the thing about platforms. The reality of the modern world is that pretty much everyone has a platform as long as they have something to say that other people want to hear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why we invited her on to be interviewed. The people making these claims have an audience with or without shows like mine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cJaguar Wright unexpectedly made several serious allegations about JAY-Z and Beyonc\u00e9 during that interview. As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut now they have. Their lawyers contacted us to say that those claims were totally false and have no basis in fact.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morgan concluded his apology by saying: \u201cAnd we\u2019ve therefore complied with the legal request to cut them from the original interview. Editing interviews is not something we do lightly on a show called <em>Uncensored<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theater, there are legal limits on us, too.
