GTU -Ikari no DEATH Yamada-<\/em> (or Great Teacher Uchiyamada<\/em>), the new manga<\/a> from GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka<\/em>\u2018s Tohru Fujisawa<\/strong>, has begun serialization on HERO\u2019s\u2019 Comiplex. The first two chapters\u00a0<\/em>were released on the same date, October 18 JST.<\/span><\/p>\n

The series<\/a>\u2019 protagonist is one of the characters in GTO<\/em>: Hiroshi Uchiyamada, the Vice President of the Holy Forest Academy (or Tokyo Kisshou Gakuin). Those who didn\u2019t read GTO<\/em> or watch the anime may still recognize Uchiyamada from this oft-seen meme<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Comiplex synopsis of GTU -Ikari no DEATH Yamada-\u00a0<\/em>says that Uchiyamada finds himself in Kabukicho while searching for a runaway student, marking the start of the teacher\u2019s \u201cnightmare.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka <\/em>made its debut in Kodansha\u2019s Weekly Shonen Magazine back in 1997. After ending in 2002, it returned as GTO SHONAN 14DAYS<\/em> in 2009. There are also multiple spin-offs and the sequel\u00a0GTO Paradise Lost<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
