The Cowboys star said he is now imploring others to open up about their struggles, adding \u201cit showed me how vulnerable we have to be as humans.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_16277606\"><img alt=\"dak prescott's public depression talk draws no sympathy from skip bayless\" data- data- height=\"200\" width=\"300\"><\/img><figcaption><span>Dak Prescott<\/span><span>AP Photo<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI got the help I needed, and I was very open about it. \u2026 Emotions can overcome you if you don\u2019t do something about it,\u201d Prescott told reporters on Thursday. \u201cMental health is a huge issue and it\u2019s a real thing in our world right now, especially the world we live in where everything is as viral and everyone is part of the media, I guess you can say, and can get on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> and be overcome with emotions or be overcome with the thoughts of other people and allow that to fill into their heads when those things aren\u2019t necessarily true, whether it\u2019s getting likes on Instagram or something being viewed or being bulied or whatever it may be. All of those things can put thoughts into your head about yourself or about your situation in life that aren\u2019t true. I think that it\u2019s huge. I think it\u2019s huge to talk, I think it\u2019s huge to get help and it saves lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Cowboys placed the franchise tag on Prescott, a two time Pro Bowler, in March worth $31.4 million for the 2020 season. He signed the tender in June.
