Tencent Game<\/a>s subsidiary LightSpeed Studios has announced<\/a> the establishment of LightSpeed Japan Studio, a new game development studio that operates across two locations in Tokyo and Osaka, focused on the development of original AAA action games. It is led by Capcom veteran Hideaki Itsuno. <\/p>\n

Itsuno left Capcom in September after 30 years. He began working for Capcom in 1994, and his first works as a director were Star Gladiator<\/em> and\u00a0Rival Schools: United by Fate<\/em>. He would go on to direct Power Stone<\/em>,\u00a0Power Stone 2<\/em>,\u00a0Project Justice<\/em>, Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower<\/em>,\u00a0One Piece Mansion<\/em>,\u00a0Capcom vs SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001<\/em>, Auto Modellista<\/em>, Devil May Cry 3: Dante\u2019s Awakening<\/em>, Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition<\/em>, Devil May Cry 4<\/em>, Dragon\u2019s Dogma<\/em>, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition<\/em>, Devil May Cry 5,<\/em> Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition<\/em>, and Dragon\u2019s Dogma II<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Itsuno will be joined by a \u201cteam of seasoned game developers\u201d at LightSpeed Japan Studio, which is currently recruiting<\/a> across a variety of positions including engineers, animators, designers, and more.<\/p>\n
