Yellowstone <\/em>returns tonight on Paramount Network with what could be its final season, two of its main cast members are speaking out once again about the future of the series<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Wes Bentley, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty, Wendy Moniz, Jen Landon, and Kathryn Kelly star in the Yellowstone series <\/em>which follows the Dutton family as they run the largest cattle ranch in the US.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

In an interview with The New York Times<\/a>, Reilly said the finale is \u201can ending. We are absolutely ending this show.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, there had been rumors about the possibility of a sixth season with Reilly, Hauser, and others in the original cast (other than Kevin Costner) returning. However, those plans are still up in the air.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s been no news<\/a> of the planned spin-off with Matthew McConaughey at the center and The Madison<\/em>, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, app<\/a>ears to be a separate project.<\/p>\n

Reilly is pragmatic about plans for some sort of continuation being in flux. She said the following about the possibility of more Yellowstone<\/em>, according to The Playlist<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Taylor wants to write more, we\u2019re both there. It\u2019s what we\u2019ve said, so it\u2019s entirely up to his inspiration, if that\u2019s something that moves him to write it, because that\u2019s how Yellowstone<\/em> came about. It wasn\u2019t just a, \u2018Well, how do we just keep this going?\u2019 It\u2019s many, many years of coming up with this story and these characters and it\u2019s not found easily or lightly. So if we want to carry on making a show that we\u2019re really proud of and people really love it has to have the same emotional kind of quality to it.<\/p>\n

I think there\u2019s more story to be told with some of the characters. But there\u2019s also a great way to leave them. So right now it\u2019s up to the gods.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hauser added, \u201cTo echo what Kelly said, it would only be Taylor and Taylor only, if he has the love and passion to write something special for Kelly and I, and it comes across the desk, I would be happy to entertain it.\u201d<\/p>\n
