Uber told Bloomberg that its cancellation process \u201cfollows both the letter and the spirit of the law\u201d and claimed customers can cancel in 20 seconds or less.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FTC has been pushing companies with subscription services to make them easier to cancel lately. In October, the commission finalized a so-called \u201cclick-to-cancel\u201d rule that could impact everything from streaming services to gym memberships. But the rule is already being <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/10\/23\/24278020\/ftc-click-to-cancel-subscriptions-rule-lawsuit-telecoms-security-advertising-groups\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">challenged in court<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the days after Donald Trump won the presidential election, the FTC reportedly tried to get Uber to agree to a settlement \u2014 which Uber\u2019s lawyers apparently characterized as involving an \u201cenormous monetary amount.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
