On Wednesday, Trump selected Paul Atkins, a crypto proponent, as the chairmen for the the Securities and Exchange Commission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under Biden, the Securities and Exchange Commission has <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Z42-ZZa0lJA\">taken legal action<\/a> against crypto exchanges like Coinbase, claiming that some crypto tokens sold through the platforms were actually unregistered securities. The crypto industry donated $245 million during the election cycle, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2024\/11\/05\/cryptos-245-million-campaign-finance-operation-funded-non-crypto-ads.html\">according to CNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reuters reported that because of Trump\u2019s pro-crypto stance small businesses are <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/finance\/trumps-crypto-advocacy-steers-businesses-away-traditional-treasury-assets-2024-12-04\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">shifting some of their investments from cash to crypto<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bitcoin\u2019s price has jumped about 50% since election day, and is more than 100% for the year overall. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
