The prequel <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> stars Patrick Gibson as a younger version of Dexter, with Michael C. Hall providing narration (and a surprising on-camera return as well). Set during Dexter\u2019s earliest days working alongside Miami Metro,\u00a0<em>Original Sin\u00a0<\/em>comes packed with returning characters, tropes and Easter eggs aplenty for fans of the original show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cWe had this canon of lore from nine seasons of the show from which to draw,\u201d <em>Dexter<\/em> franchise veteran and\u00a0<em>Original Sin\u00a0<\/em>showrunner <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/clyde-phillips\/\" id=\"auto-tag_clyde-phillips_1\" data-tag=\"clyde-phillips\">Clyde Phillips told\u00a0<em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> about the prequel series, which is three episodes into its 10-episode season. \u201cIf people like Easter eggs, this show is going to be an Easter egg hunt. We would write the shows and start shooting them. Someone would come in and say, \u2018Oh gosh, I have this great story about an Easter egg,\u2019 and we would go running down to set and put a picture on somebody\u2019s desk or whatever it is that the fans are just going to love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThroughout the season, <em>THR<\/em> will chronicle all the <em>Dexter<\/em> Easter eggs littered across\u00a0<em>Original Sin<\/em>, updating as the episodes roll along.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em>Spoilers ahead through season one, episode three (\u201cAnd in the Beginning\u2026,\u201d \u201cKid in a Candy Store\u201d and \u201cMiami Vice\u201d)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dexter%E2%80%A6_lives\"><\/span>\n\t\tDexter\u2026  <em>lives<\/em>?\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tLet\u2019s start here. It\u2019s not exactly an Easter egg,\u00a0but we definitely\u00a0need\u00a0to get one thing straight right at the top. If you only watched the original\u00a0<em>Dexter<\/em>\u00a0run and somehow didn\u2019t watch\u00a0<em>Dexter: New Blood<\/em>, then it\u2019s possible you thought Dexter was still a lumberjack somewhere. Nope! Not even close. The serial killer returned for a sequel a couple years back, and in the finale of <em>New Blood<\/em>, Dexter \u2014 wait for it \u2014 dies. Dies! Shot to death by his own teen son Harrison. So, if you were wondering why Dex was sitting in the back of a car, bleeding out, but still alive\u2026so was every single person who watched<em>\u00a0Dexter: New Blood.\u00a0<\/em>Expect\u2026no,\u00a0<em>demand!<\/em>\u00a0more answers when\u00a0<em>Dexter: Resurrection<\/em>\u00a0premieres this summer, starring the resurrected Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan. (Phillips explained the decision to <em>THR<\/em>.)<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dexter_Rides\"><\/span>\n\t\tDexter Rides\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOK, the wildest part out of the way, let\u2019s dig in. The very first scene of both\u00a0<em>Dexter\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Original Sin\u00a0<\/em>share one thing in common: Miami Metro\u2019s deadliest blood spatter analyst is riding along in a car. Big differences, of course, include the original Dexter\u2019s self-confidence as he drove through the night stalking prey, while the\u00a0<em>Original Sin\u00a0<\/em>Dexter\u2019s\u00a0<em>just been shot dead in the chest and is somehow still alive<\/em>. Sorry, still not quite over it!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Introducing_Dexter_Morgan\"><\/span>\n\t\tIntroducing Dexter Morgan\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWhatever shock still exists from Dexter\u2019s miraculous survival is quickly replaced by a big hit of nostalgia. The\u00a0<em>Original Sin\u00a0<\/em>opening credits are not exactly a shot-for-shot re-creation of the original series\u2019 iconic version, but it\u2019s pretty darn close \u2014 from bloodied breakfast to that knowing smile at the end. <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>lying Dexter\u2019s familiar morning routine to\u00a0Dexter successor Gibson gives the whole thing a well-worn feeling while making it clear we\u2019re in for something new.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Shaggy_Hair_Story\"><\/span>\n\t\tA Shaggy Hair Story\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tShocked by young Dexter\u2019s long-haired looks in his first scene of the series? It\u2019s straight from the original show, which often featured flashbacks starring an aged-down Hall. And by \u201caged down,\u201d I mean wearing a ridiculous long-hair wig to make him look like a teenager. It works better on Gibson for sure, but we\u2019re thankfully out of this era before too long.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hair_Today_Gone_Tomorrow\"><\/span>\n\t\tHair Today, Gone Tomorrow\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSpeaking of hair, let\u2019s talk about one of the show\u2019s returning characters. Forensic expert and confirmed pervert Vince Masuka returns in\u00a0<em>Original Sin<\/em>, this time played by Alex Shimizu, and\u00a0<em>this time,\u00a0<\/em>boasting a whole head of hair. Please tell me we\u2019re going to get a Masuka hair loss\u00a0<em>Origin Story<\/em>\u00a0episode.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"City_of_Angel\"><\/span>\n\t\tCity of Angel\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tContinuing in returning characters territory, Angel Batista is back, and so is his hat! James Martinez plays a young version of the original show\u2019s iconic detective, complete with his signature look: immaculate hat and tropical shirts aplenty. Could be worth paying particularly close attention to Angel\u2019s story this season, as in the modern timeline, David Zayas\u2019 version of the character just learned Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher, with sparks sure to fly when\u00a0<em>Resurrection\u00a0<\/em>revs up.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Evil_Urges\"><\/span>\n\t\tEvil Urges\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWe get to see the full Morgan family enjoying dinner together in the first episode, including Molly Brown doing a very good Jennifer Carpenter as Deb, and Christian Slater doing a very good Christian Slater as Detective Harry Morgan. The scene does a great job making you forget Deb was in love with Dex for a season or two, while also dutifully reminding the audience that when this show begins, Harry already knows all about Dexter\u2019s dark passenger.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Goodnight_Nurse\"><\/span>\n\t\tGoodnight, Nurse\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe\u00a0<em>Original Sin\u00a0<\/em>premiere follows Dexter as he makes his first kill, and it\u2019s not the first time we\u2019ve seen these events dramatized. We originally saw Dexter\u2019s first kill back in the first season of the original show, in an episode called \u201cPopping Cherry.\u201d Obviously, Nurse Mary\u2019s death is elaborated upon here in\u00a0<em>Original Sin<\/em>, and appears to serve something of a launch point into the rest of the season.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Rough_Start\"><\/span>\n\t\tRough Start\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAfter killing the nurse, Dexter makes a couple of sloppy moves. For one, he deposits her body in a swamp, leaving her to be devoured by alligators. For another, he took the nurse\u2019s earrings as trophies. Expect the rest of the season to delve deeper into why both of those choices were\u00a0<em>very bad<\/em>, and why they\u2019ll ultimately lead to Dexter\u2019s use of the Bay Harbor as a burial ground, not to mention collecting blood samples as trophies.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"You_Spin_Me_Right_Round\"><\/span>\n\t\tYou Spin Me Right Round\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em>Original Sin<\/em>\u2018s very first episode ends with Dexter Morgan, newly appointed Miami Metro forensics intern, spinning around and around in a lab chair \u2014 exactly as he does throughout the first\u00a0<em>Dexter\u00a0<\/em>series.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Full_Masuka\"><\/span>\n\t\t<strong>Full Masuka<\/strong>\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThere\u2019s a lot of fantastic recasting in\u00a0<em>Original Sin<\/em>, but Alex Shimizu as a younger version of Masuka may take the cake. It helps that the writing feels incredibly Masuka, what with calling Dexter \u201cDexedrine\u201d and \u201cDex-Mex\u201d in episode two. But it\u2019s also little things, like perfectly imitating the original Masuka\u2019s laugh.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Full_Michael_C_Hall\"><\/span>\n\t\t<strong>Full Michael C. Hall<\/strong>\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn that same vain, \u201cKid in a Candy Store\u201d reinforces all of Hall\u2019s work imbued in Gibson\u2019s turn as Dexter. The actor\u2019s physicality as Dexter mirrors Hall, with his dramatic crime scene gesticulating, not to mention nailing the original Dexter\u2019s donut habitat with note perfection.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%9CAnyone_Sitting_Here%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>\n\t\t\u201cAnyone Sitting Here?\u201d\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDid we just get an Ice Truck Killer Easter egg? The jury\u2019s out, though we have at the very least seen the season one villain in flashback form already, what with Harry\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> back home to Laura Moser\u2019s house and seeing baby boy Brian on the porch. But there\u2019s another moment in episode two where a lanky, brown-haired young man asks Dexter if he can sit with him. Dexter says no, and the character moves right along off the screen, as if it never happened at all. Is\u00a0<em>Dexter: Original Sin\u00a0<\/em>a secret Ice Truck Killer origin story? Stay tuned.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Angel_and_Christians_Hair\"><\/span>\n\t\t<strong>Angel and Christian\u2019s Hair<\/strong>\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tEpisodes two and three of\u00a0<em>Dexter Original Sin\u00a0<\/em>continue one of the show\u2019s developing traditions: notable hair. Specifically, Christian Slater undergoes the rite of passage involved with having horrible flashback hair. Additionally, James Martinez\u2019s young Batista shows he has a full head of hair under his classic hat. Are we getting an Angel\u2019s hair loss origin?\u00a0<em>Original Sin\u00a0<\/em>really does have everything!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Familiar_Faces\"><\/span>\n\t\t<strong>Familiar Faces<\/strong>\t<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tEpisode two and three introduce two classic\u00a0<em>Dexter\u00a0<\/em>characters into\u00a0<em>Original Sin\u00a0<\/em>for the first time. First, there\u2019s Sarah Kinsey as Camilla Figg, the Miami Metro records worker played in the original show by character actress Margo Martindale.
