There are <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\/news\/putting-commuters-first-keeping-costs-down-governor-hochul-unveils-plans-future-transit-and\">different prices<\/a> for different vehicles at different times \u2014 during daytime hours, it will cost $9 to drive a regular car in Manhattan below 60th St, while someone using a ride-hailing service like Uber or Lyft will pay $1.50 per ride.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lyft passengers will be charged like everyone else, but <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lyft.com\/blog\/posts\/navigating-the-new-nyc-congestion-fee-with-lyft\">the company said<\/a> that throughout January, they\u2019ll get the money back in credits that can be spent on Lyft or Citi Bike for the following week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lyft also noted that the new fee comes on top of an existing $2.75 congestion fee for rides that begin, end, or pass through Manhattan below 96th St. So it described the credit as \u201ca small gesture to help people adjust to another new expense \u2013 even as we work to reduce the overall cost of rides.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
