We encourage users to report a concern if they view an unexpected notification summary,\u201d an Apple spokesperson said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple\u2019s notification summaries are helpful, but they can also be <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AndrewSchmidtFC\/status\/1849947375873425889\">quite inaccurate<\/a>. The summaries are\u00a0sometimes funny, but they often also cause\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/AppleIntelligenceFail\/comments\/1hssnlf\/distressing_pepsi_and_mentos\/\">mild confusion<\/a>. Last month, BBC complained that <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cd0elzk24dno\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">the feature misrepresented a headline<\/a>, with the summary saying that Luigi Mangione, the person charged with the murder of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson, had shot himself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year, in an interview with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/tech\/personal-tech\/apple-intelligence-3833c320\" target=\"_blank\">the Wall Street Journal<\/a>, Apple\u2019s SVP of software engineering, Craig Federighi, said Apple Intelligence doesn\u2019t summarize notifications it deems as sensitive. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tech companies are figuring out how to better label AI-generated content. Last year, Meta had to tweak its labeling for images posted on its <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> networks that were generated or edited using AI after photographers complained that they didn\u2019t use AI tools to edit their photos.
