\n\tThe Last of Us<\/em> is returning in April, with a specific premiere date to be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n

\n\tCo-creator, writer and executive producer Neil Druckmann announced the news<\/a> during Sony\u2019s press conference at CES on Monday. The season will consist of seven episodes.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeason two continues the story of apocalypse survivors Joel (Pedro Pascal), Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Joel\u2019s brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna), and will introduce several new cast members, including Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, who is the focus of the new teaser trailer also released on Monday.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 30-second look (below) contains some of the previously released footage from the first trailer that was released in 2023, which introduced guest star Catherine O\u2019Hara in scenes with Pascal\u2019s Joel, along with new castmembers Jeffrey Wright and Isabela Merced, in a tense and ominous preview of what\u2019s to come following the finale of season one.<\/p>\n

\n\tHere\u2019s the season two logline: \u201cFive years after the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.\u201d<\/p>\n
