\n After years of petitions, Band-Aid will now launch a new line of bandages in a range of different skin tone colors \u2014 from beige to dark brown \u2014 to \u00a0\u201cembrace the beauty of diverse skin,\u201d the firm announced Thursday.<\/p>\n

The bandage brand, which is owned by Johnson & Johnson, said it plans to roll out the new product in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement amid protests against racial injustice and the death of George Floyd.<\/p>\n

For years, advocates have petitioned the brand to produce a broad range of skin tones.<\/p>\n

The company didn\u2019t say when the new Band-Aids would hit the shelves. In 2018, the multi-tone bandage company Tru-Colour, which celebrates different racial identities, made its way into Target stores nationwide.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
