A second teaser visual for the Dorohedoro<\/em> anime<\/a>\u2019s sequel has been released, and with it comes the reveal of the show\u2019s 2025 premiere and the return of director Yuichiro Hayashi<\/strong> (Attack on Titan Final Season<\/em>) and animation production studio MAPP<\/a>A<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The visual doesn\u2019t contain a fancy illustration, but instead plasters various storyboard sheets from the new season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dorohedoro<\/em> is based on the Shogakukan-published violent fantasy manga by Q Hayashida<\/strong>, which was serialized from 2000 to 2018 and has been collected into 23 tankoubon volumes. Viz Media<\/a> describes it as:<\/span><\/p>\n

In a city so dismal it\u2019s known only as \u201cthe Hole,\u201d a clan of Sorcerers have been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious \u201cexperiments\u201d in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. To undo the spell, they\u2019re hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they\u2019ll kill the right one. But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of \u201ccleaners\u201d into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Season 1\u2019s staff includes Hiroshi Seko<\/strong>\u00a0(Attack on Titan Final Season<\/em>) as the series<\/a> composer, Tomohiro Kishi<\/strong>\u00a0(Attack on Titan Final Season<\/em>) as the character designer, and Yuki Nomoto<\/strong> as the 3DCG director.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wataru Takagi<\/strong> voiced main protagonist Caimon while Rei Kondo<\/strong>\u00a0voiced main heroine Nikaido. Other cast members included\u00a0Kenyu Horiuchi<\/strong>\u00a0as En,\u00a0Yoshimasa Hosoya<\/strong>\u00a0as Shin, and\u00a0Yuu Hayashi<\/strong>\u00a0as Noi.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Dorohedoro<\/em> sequel was announced in January 2024. Season 1 aired in 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Dorohedoro<\/em> manga debuted in the now-defunct Monthly IKKI and later moved to the also-now-defunct Hibana. It ended in Monthly Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n
