\n\tNeil Young is sharing his thoughts about Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown<\/em> and memories of his past with the iconic musician.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI love Bob Dylan and his music. Always have. He\u2019s a great artist. Once he was on my bus and I didn\u2019t recognize him and threw him off but that\u2019s another story,\u201d Young wrote in his review on his personal website Neil Young Archives<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite his somewhat negative encounter with the Blowin\u2019 In The Wind<\/em> singer, Young continued to praise the film, which stars Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet as a young Dylan, \u201cThis movie is a great tribute to his life and music. I think if you love Bob\u2019s music you should see this great movie. I loved it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film, directed by James Mangold, is about Dylan\u2019s rise to fame in the 1960s and how immersed he was in the folk music scene, like Young was, too. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hollywood Reporter<\/em>\u2018s chief film critic David Rooney also gave his stamp of app<\/a>roval in his review of the film: \u201cAny Dylan fan or indeed anyone with a fondness for the music coming out of New York City in the first half of that tumultuous decade will find ample pleasures in Mangold\u2019s expertly crafted film. The period recreation is impeccable, and the many music performance sequences could not be more transporting, benefiting enormously from lead actors doing their own singing with estimable polish.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tRooney continued to applaud Chalamet\u2019s performance as Dylan, as he learned to sing and play guitar for the role: \u201cHis voice \u2014 raw, nasal, scratchy but full of passion, anger and wry wisdom \u2014 is near enough to the original to be unmistakable and yet colored by the actor\u2019s persona to a degree that suggests something closer to symbiosis than impersonation.\u201d<\/p>\n
