\n\tCNN Originals is launching a four-part documentary series<\/a> on the 1988 Lockerbie bombing on Pan Am flight 103.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tLockerbie: The Bombing of Pan Am 103<\/em>, which examines the mysterious circumstances around the bombing, which was the deadliest terror attack on United States civilians before Sept. 11, premieres with two episodes on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. ET\/PT on CNN. The following two episodes will air on Sunday, Feb.\u00a0 23 at 9 p.m. ET\/PT.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series is produced by Mindhouse Productions in association with Sky Studios and CNN Original Series.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe bombing, which took place on the aircraft over Lockerbie, Scotland resulted in the death of 270 people, including 190 Americans. The series features interviews with Lockerbie residents and family members of the passengers and also examines the multiple theories that emerged from the resulting investigation. While a conviction was upheld in 2000, there are still questions over who was ultimately responsible.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cViewers consistently look to CNN to tell the human stories behind world-shaking events,\u201d said Amy Entelis, executive vice president of talent, CNN Originals and creative development. \u201cThe Lockerbie bombing commanded the world\u2019s attention at the time, and the questions that continue to haunt the family members of the victims endure still today. This series is a stirring combination of investigative and highly emotional storytelling that CNN Original Series has come to be known for.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe attack was also recently brought back into the news<\/a> with the release of the Peacock Original series, Lockerbie: A Search for Truth<\/em>, starring Colin Firth.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe CNN series will stream live for pay TV subscribers on the news outlet\u2019s website, connected TV and mobile app<\/a>s on Feb. 16 and will be available on demand beginning Feb. 17 to pay TV subscribers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
