The MTA has installed \u201chundreds of thousands\u201d of social distancing decals on subway platforms across the city to guide straphangers on how to stay 6 feet away from each other, officials said Thursday \u2014 but some are a little weirder than others.<\/p>\n

While most of the floor markers depict a pair of shoe prints, there are \u201cEaster egg\u201d alternatives scattered throughout the system that include pig trotters, horse shoe prints, cat and dog paws, as well as a pair designed to look like a robot\u2019s \u201cfeet,\u201d The Post has learned.<\/p>\n

The decals, along with additional signage \u201cmake sure [MTA] customers know where and how they can protect themselves and protect our staff,\u201d MTA Chief Customer Office Sarah Meyer told reporters at a press conference at Hudson Yards station.<\/p>\n

Some straphangers app<\/a>reciated the comedic touch in the middle of a pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cI smiled when I saw the horse shoes. It\u2019s good. I\u2019m not smiling a lot in the subway lately,\u201d Evelyn Brown, 51, interior designer from Jamaica, Queens, said Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

But the little stickers went unnoticed by most commuters on the Manhattan bound E train platform at the station.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t look at them. I\u2019m just focusing on time,\u201d said Joe Parisi, 31, a porter who lives on Long Island.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey need to add trains! It\u2019s 15 or 20 minutes more waiting time for each train and it adds an hour to my commute. It\u2019s a huge difference!\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
