Maino has poked some holes in Cam\u2019ron\u2018s story about Jim Jones checking him in a nightclub over a perceived diss.<\/p>\n
App<\/a>earing on Way Up with Angela Yee<\/em>, the \u201cHi Hater\u201d rapper offered his perspective on how things went down between him and his Lobby Boyz partner-in-rhyme early in their careers.<\/p>\n AD LOADING…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThe song he\u2019s talking about is the song that put me in the game<\/a>, \u2018Rumors,\u2019<\/a> where I was talking about all the rumors in the industry,\u201d Maino explained. \u201cThe thing about that is I mentioned [Cam\u2019ron] in the song; I didn\u2019t mention Jimmy.<\/p>\n \u201cJimmy didn\u2019t like me [because of that] so we when we saw each other we would have these \u2018face fights,\u2019 but nothing ever happened.\u201d<\/p>\n The Brooklyn native then detailed their confrontation: \u201cWe were in Atlanta and we had a conversation. He didn\u2019t approach me and press me or none of that. We had a conversation. It wasn\u2019t spectacular, nobody swung.<\/p>\n \u201cOnce we started to talk and realized that we had things in common, we were cool from that point on. We\u2019ve been way cooler than we were [enemies] because we didn\u2019t know each other.
