\n The sports world finally wanted Skip Bayless to talk \u2014 and he said nothing.<\/p>\n

The Fox Sports bloviator spent the first hour of \u201cUndisputed\u201d arguing with co-host Shannon Sharpe about the Chiefs\u2019 34-20 NFL-opening victory over the Texans and the Lakers\u2019 dismantling of the Rockets in Game<\/a> 4 of the Western Conference semifinals.<\/p>\n

Then, before a commercial break around 10:30 am, Bayless addressed the firestorm he set off when he admonished Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott for opening up about his fight with depression.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to reiterate some points I made about Dak Prescott and the depression he discussed,\u201d Bayless said. \u201cAs I strongly stated, I have great compassion for anyone suffering from clinical depression, which is very real. If you are suffering from any form of depression, please seek help.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then Bayless went on to blame others for misinterpreting what he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd this is the final point, one I am told was misconstrued by many. The only Dak depression I discussed on the show was from an interview he taped with Graham Bensinger,\u201d Bayless said. \u201cDak said that depression hit soon after the pandemic hit, right after the quarantine. I said (Thursday) that if Dak needed help for pandemic depression, he should have sought it then.\u201d<\/p>\n

The early stages of the pandemic also saw Dak\u2019s older brother, Jace, take how own life. It was a topic that was also broached in the interview with Bensinger.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are commanding an entire franchise \u2026 And they\u2019re all looking to you to be their CEO, to be in charge of the football team,\u201d Bayless said Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause of all that, I don\u2019t have sympathy for him going public with \u2018I got depressed\u2019 and \u2018I suffered depression early in COVID to the point that I couldn\u2019t even go work out.\u2019 Look, he\u2019s the quarterback of America\u2019s team.\u201d<\/p>\n

This immedia<\/a>tely transitioned into a segment where Bayless, a former Dallas columnist, referred to Prescott as \u201cmy quarterback\u201d while discussing the Cowboys\u2019 chances this season.<\/p>\n
