Proofreading for clarity and brevity<\/a><\/li><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-2'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-7\" href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/4-practical-ways-to-use-generative-ai-for-ad-copywriting\/#Final_thoughts\" >Final thoughts<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"subhead\" itemprop=\"alternativeHeadline\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"From_sparking_ideas_to_refining_content_learn_to_integrate_generative_AI_into_your_PPC_ad_copy_process_without_sacrificing_quality\"><\/span>From sparking ideas to refining content, learn to integrate generative AI into your PPC ad copy process without sacrificing quality.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"bialty-container\">\n<p>Generative AI is a powerful tool for creating content, including PPC ad copy, but it should be used wisely.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not about generating content to copy and paste but assisting in the creative process.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve all seen enough AI-generated <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> posts, blogs, and website content to know the web doesn\u2019t need more of that.<\/p>\n<p>When used properly, AI can help spark ideas, refine messages, and combine data with creativity to better connect with audiences.<\/p>\n<p>This article covers practical ways to use generative AI and large language models (LLMs) for ad copywriting without sacrificing originality or quality.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-does-ai-say-it-s-good-at\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_does_AI_say_its_good_at\"><\/span>What does AI say it\u2019s good at?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When I began writing about using AI, my first instinct was, naturally, to ask AI itself.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So, I turned to ChatGPT and posed the same question I\u2019m exploring here:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cWhat are some good ways to use AI to write ad copy for Google Ads?\u201d\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here\u2019s what ChatGPT suggested:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dynamic headline generation.<\/li>\n<li>Keyword-optimized copy.<\/li>\n<li>Personalized ad copy.<\/li>\n<li>Seasonal analysis (e.g., incorporating \u201cholidays\u201d or \u201csnow\u201d into de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ions during winter).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These initial responses were neither surprising nor particularly helpful. I don\u2019t want AI to write my copy outright, even though it seems eager to do so.<\/p>\n<p>However, this exercise got me thinking \u2013 not just about what I don\u2019t want AI to do, but about what it <strong>can<\/strong> and <strong>should<\/strong> do. Which brings us to the first point.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-ideation\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Ideation\"><\/span>1. Ideation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>My top use for AI in content creation, whether for ad copy or blog posts, is ideation. And few tools are better for this than LLMs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While their responses are inherently generic, they\u2019re great for sparking ideas and getting your creative juices flowing.<\/p>\n<p>For example, plugging in a prompt like \u201cGive me ideas for how to use LLMs and generative AI for ad copy\u201d can provide a good starting point, helping you figure out what to write \u2013 and just as importantly, what not to write.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>LLMs compile the most common answers on the web, so copying them directly won\u2019t add anything unique or valuable.<\/p>\n<p>My process is to ask an LLM a few topic-related questions, then use its responses to kickstart my own thoughts and begin writing from there.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-a-b-testing-suggestions\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_AB_testing_suggestions\"><\/span>2. A\/B testing suggestions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Another way to use AI is for iterating on current ads through A\/B testing.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for small tweaks to test in headlines or descriptions, you can input your headlines into an LLM and have it recommend different variations.<\/p>\n<p>You can further refine the results by asking it to highlight specific selling points for your business.<\/p>\n<p>In my experience, this method has been more about ideation than direct copying.<\/p>\n<p>For example, when I give ChatGPT a headline or description from my ads and ask for \u201c10 A\/B testing suggestions that comply with Google Ads\u2019 character requirements,\u201d I get decent ideas.<\/p>\n<p>However, I still need to tweak them to fit the rest of the copy.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t perfect, but it\u2019s much quicker than starting from scratch and can provide ideas you might not have thought of otherwise.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Dig deeper: 7 ways to use generative AI in PPC<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- START INLINE FORM --><\/p>\n<p><!-- END INLINE FORM --><\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-css-opacity has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-industry-specific-compliance\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Industry-specific_compliance\"><\/span>3. Industry-specific compliance<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This is a more niche use case, but one of my favorites.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A common challenge for paid search marketers is creating ad copy that\u2019s both compelling and compliant with Google\u2019s industry-specific policies.<\/p>\n<p>Whether it\u2019s finance, real estate, or healthcare, each industry has specific requirements for what you can and can\u2019t say.<\/p>\n<p>Using an LLM to spot-check your copy and flag any issues can speed up the editing process and help prevent eligibility problems when the ads go live.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-proofreading-for-clarity-and-brevity\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Proofreading_for_clarity_and_brevity\"><\/span>4. Proofreading for clarity and brevity<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Before submitting any content, a final proofread is essential. <\/p>\n<p>While spellcheck is useful, having a second set of eyes to spot awkward sentences or redundancy can be invaluable. <\/p>\n<p>If you don\u2019t have a colleague or friend available, LLMs can step in.<\/p>\n<p>Simply copy and paste the content you want reviewed and ask:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cProofread this for clarity and redundancy, and make notated edits so I can see what was changed.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That last part is important, otherwise you\u2019ll be scouring your own content to see what\u2019s different. Alternatively, you can change the prompt to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cProofread this for clarity and redundancy, and recommend improvements.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-final-thoughts\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Final_thoughts\"><\/span>Final thoughts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When I set out to write this article, my initial fear was that it might come across as an endorsement for the bland, AI-generated content flooding the web. That stuff sucks!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, that fear shifted into a sense of responsibility to highlight the good AI can do.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important not to lose sight of what makes great marketing stand out: <strong>creativity<\/strong> and <strong>humanity<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>AI isn\u2019t a magic solution to all your ad copy problems; rather, it\u2019s a tool that helps you leverage your creativity and expertise more efficiently.<\/p>\n<p>It offers many benefits beyond the few we discussed here, and as it evolves, it will become even more sophisticated and transformative.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, its effectiveness depends entirely on how you use it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Your unique understanding of your business and your creative touch are irreplaceable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>AI can provide suggestions, but it can never replace you.
