Sony Interactive Entertainment has canceled two previously unannounced live service game<\/a>s from\u00a0Demon\u2019s Souls<\/em> remake studio Bluepoint Games and\u00a0Days Gone<\/em> developer\u00a0Bend Studio, according to a Bloomberg report<\/a>. <\/p>\n

On Bluesky<\/a> (2<\/a>), Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier said that the Bluepoint Games project was a live service God of War<\/em> game, which it had been working on since finishing support on God of War Ragnarok<\/em> in 2022. It is currently unclear what the studio is now working on.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed the cancellations, stating that the two games were canceled \u201cfollowing a recent review,\u201d and reiterating that the PlayStation manufacturer will continue to make both single-player and online games.<\/p>\n

\u201cBend and Bluepoint are highly accomplished teams who are valued members of the PlayStation Studios family, and we are working closely with each studio to determine what are the next projects,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson did not say whether the cancellations will lead to job cuts, but in a memo to staff reviewed by Bloomberg, the company said it is \u201cworking closely with Bend and Bluepoint to determine what are the next projects and plan to do everything we can to ensure there is minimal business impact.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
