How will your ads appear?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Here\u2019s where it gets interesting: a \u201cview\u201d in Google Ads isn\u2019t the same as on other platforms. Google Ads counts a view as a truly engaged action, and the definition depends on the placement:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Skippable in-stream ads:<\/strong> These are the classic YouTube ads where you can hit \u201cSkip ad\u201d after 5 seconds. A view is counted if someone watches at least 30 seconds, or the entire ad, whichever comes first.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shorts ads:<\/strong> Given their shorter format, a view is registered when someone watches 10 seconds, or the whole ad, whichever comes first.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In-feed ads: <\/strong>These are ads that appear as thumbnails. A view is counted when someone clicks to watch your ad, or if they watch it autoplay at thumbnail-size for at least 10 seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-video-view-campaigns-and-remarketing\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Video_View_campaigns_and_Remarketing\"><\/span>Video View campaigns and Remarketing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One of the most powerful features of Video View campaigns is their ability to generate highly engaged audiences for remarketing.<\/p>\n<p>When you run a Video View campaign, you\u2019re not just throwing your video out into the void; you\u2019re building a valuable audience of people who have shown genuine interest in your content.<\/p>\n<p>Because VVCs only run on skippable inventory, you can then retarget those who\u2019ve viewed your video ads with more specific, conversion-focused campaigns.
