Deadline has reported that Spin Master Corp. is developing a live-action feature film adaptation of the Bakugan franchise. <\/span>Brad Peyton<\/b> (<\/span>San Andres<\/span><\/i>,<\/span> Rampage, Atlas<\/span><\/i>) is set to direct, write and produce the adaptation.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Peyton and writer <\/span>Lindsay Harbert<\/b> are working with Spin Master Entertainment on developing the film\u2019s screenplay, based on the popular toy line and global anime<\/a> franchise.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The most recent relaunch of the Bakugan series<\/a> is <\/span>Bakugan: Battle Planet<\/span><\/i>, which was first launched in 2018. Five seasons of the anime have been released, as recently as March 2023. Netflix is streaming the series in the U.S, while Cartoon Network broadcasted it in Canada.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Bakugan franchise was first launched with the eponymous 52-episode TV anime series in Japan from April 2007 to March 2008. An English dub of the series aired on Cartoon Network in the U.S. from February 2008 to February 2009. It was then followed up by <\/span>Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia<\/span><\/i> in 2009, <\/span>Gundalian Invaders<\/span><\/i> in 2010, <\/span>Mechtanium Surge<\/span><\/i> in 2011.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
