\n\tWho would have guessed playing an on-screen superhero actually doesn\u2019t make finding love easier?<\/p>\n

\n\tAnthony Mackie, who stars in the titular role in Captain America: Brave New World<\/em>, recently told People <\/em>magazine <\/a>that being a famous actor makes dating \u201cobsolete,\u201d adding that \u201cthe idea of dating is really hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHow do you trust someone? How do you put yourself in a position to be vulnerable? How do you know what someone really [wants] from you when all you want is to just be loved and app<\/a>reciated? What does that look like?\u201d he questioned.<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, Mackie isn\u2019t in any rush to get into another romantic relationship, noting, \u201cI\u2019m older and I don\u2019t do the apps.\u201d He enjoys focusing on being a father to his four children, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Sheletta Chapital.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen he\u2019s not working, the Twisted Metal<\/em> actor also appreciates his time out of the spotlight, spending time in his native New Orleans where he doesn\u2019t get recognized quite as often compared to Hollywood.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m not a big attention person. I appreciate the support. I appreciate the idea of people recognizing me for my work, if nothing else,\u201d Mackie explained. \u201cBut social<\/a> anxiety is a real thing. And because of that, I run away and hide. I go to my places where I know people and they take care of me. And I just sit in the corner and put an umbrella over my head.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMackie has starred in dozens of projects throughout his career, following his breakout role in the 2002 film 8 Mile<\/em>. He also played Sam Wilson\/Falcon in several Marvel films before taking over as Captain America.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
