Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl<\/em>, the first installment of Yasuomi Umetsu<\/strong>\u2018s new action anime<\/a> series<\/a> Virgin Punk<\/em>, will premiere in Japanese theaters on June 27 JST.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was previously announced that would be released in early summer 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

Virgin Punk<\/em> features a bounty hunter protagonist called Ubu. The story will involve her struggles, as well as the \u201cdesires\u201d and \u201cchaos\u201d interweaved by the characters around her.<\/span><\/p>\n

The anime marks Umetsu\u2019s first project-wide directorial role since 2014\u2019s Wizard Barristers <\/em>and is his first Shaft<\/strong>-produced series. In the last few years, Umetsu could be found in the credits of Shaft productions like\u00a0Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story<\/em> (key animation), Pretty Boy Detective Club<\/em> (opening storyboard artist and director et al.), Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Final Season\u00a0<\/em>(key animation), and The Quintessential Quintuplets~<\/em> (key animation).<\/span><\/p>\n
