\n\tWhat a difference a decade makes. When Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet arrives at this year\u2019s Berlinale for a special gala screening of James Mangold\u2019s A Complete Unknown<\/em>, in which he plays an inscrutable Bob Dylan, he\u2019ll be hailed as a star: He\u2019s headlined such blockbusters as Wonka<\/em> and the Dune <\/em>movies<\/a> and also just earned his second best actor Oscar nomination.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen Chalamet first walked Berlin\u2019s red carpet in 2015, it was a different story. Then just 19, he was starring opposite Kiernan Shipka in Andrew Droz Palermo\u2019s indie feature One & Two<\/em>. <\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing supporting parts in Showtime\u2019s Homeland<\/em> and Christopher Nolan\u2019s Interstellar<\/em>, it was Chalamet\u2019s first lead role; he and Shipka portrayed siblings with the ability to teleport. <\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a visit to THR<\/em>\u2019s lounge, Chalamet explained, \u201cThe movie\u2019s about their separation journey \u2014 getting back together in the end or maybe not.\u201d But the press was more interested in Shipka, who played Jon Hamm\u2019s daughter in Mad Men<\/em>, then heading into its final season. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs for the low-profile One & Two<\/em>, THR<\/em> critic Harry Windsor noted simply, \u201cChalamet and Shipka are both very fine, though the recessive script<\/a> \u2026 makes it difficult to really get a handle on their characters.\u201d Given a limited release by IFC Midnight, the film disappeared with little notice. <\/p>\n

\n\tIt would be two more years until Chalamet broke through with Call Me by Your Name<\/em>, which played in Berlin after debuting at the Sundance Film Festival.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
