\n First responders have paused their search for a swimmer who went missing at Rockaway beach Friday due to bad weather, police said.<\/p>\n

A woman in her 20s is unaccounted for and at least another woman was saved after police and firefighters responded to calls of missing swimmers off Beach 88th Street at around 7:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

A surfer helped first responders pull one of the women out of the water, police said.<\/p>\n

The search will resume Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

Video from the scene posted to the Citizen app<\/a> shows multiple police vehicles and a police helicopter gathered near the water.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
