A new main key visual and trailer have been unveiled for the upcoming <\/span>Detective Conan<\/span><\/i>: <\/span>Sekigan no Flashback<\/span><\/i> anime<\/a> film. The 28th film in the long-running franchise will be <\/span>released theatrically in Japan<\/span> on April 18, 2025. It is also known in English as <\/span>Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The latest trailer highlights Mori Kogoro and Yamato Kansuke\u2019s investigation into a mysterious terrorist attack in a snowy Nagano region. The film will feature Conan, Kogoro, and members of the Nagano Prefecture Police working together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Katsuya Shigehara<\/b> (I<\/span>ron Submarine<\/span><\/i> co-unit director) is directing the newest anime film, with <\/span>Takeharu Sakurai<\/b> (<\/span>Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine<\/span><\/i>) as screenwriter and <\/span>Yugo Kanno<\/b> (<\/span>Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram<\/span><\/i>) as music composer. <\/span>TMS Entertainment <\/b>is in charge of the animation production.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Many of the Japanese voice cast members from the TV anime series<\/a> are reprising their roles in the film.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gosho Aoyama<\/b>\u2018s <\/span>Detective Conan<\/span><\/i> manga began serialization in Shogakukan\u2019s Weekly Shonen Sunday on January 5, 1994 and has released 106 tankobon volumes as of October 2024. A 107th volume is set for release on April 18, 2025. VIZ Media<\/a> releases the manga in English under the title <\/span>Case Closed<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The manga inspired a long-running TV anime that first aired in 1996, with the first anime film being released in 1997.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s <\/span>Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram<\/span><\/i> is the most successful film in the franchise and the 14th highest-grossing movie in Japan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
