\n\tThe sequel to A Simple Favor <\/em>will not include a return app<\/a>earance for Ryan Reynolds\u2018 gin brand.<\/p>\n

\n\tPaul Feig, who directed Another Simple Favor<\/em> and the 2018 original, told Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/em> that Aviaton gin will not be seen in the new movie after memorably appearing in the first film. Instead, the Simple Favor<\/em> sequel, hitting Prime Video on May 1, will include Feig\u2019s own spirit brand, Artingstall\u2019s Brilliant London Dry Gin, which he launched in 2020. Another Simple Favor <\/em>features the return of stars Blake Lively \u2014 who is married to Reynolds \u2014 and Anna Kendrick. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s no more Aviation,\u201d Feig said. \u201cThis movie is all Artingstall\u2019s, all the time. I\u2019m very proud of my brand. And actually, our bottle is so beautiful that it fits in. It doesn\u2019t feel like it doesn\u2019t belong.<\/p>\n

\n\tFeig added, \u201cThere\u2019s never a shortage of martinis in any of my movies<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a scene in A Simple Favor<\/em>, Emily (Lively) and Stephanie (Kendrick) bond as the former fixes martinis using Aviation gin. The filmmaker explained to Cosmopolitan<\/a><\/em> in 2018 that he was trying to clear a different gin brand for the first film when Lively suggested that he use Aviation, the company that Reynolds purchased in 2016. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t have done it if I didn\u2019t like the look of it on the screen, but I really thought the bottle looked fantastic,\u201d Feig said back then.<\/p>\n

\n\tLively\u2019s most recent film was Sony\u2019s\u00a0It Ends With Us<\/em>, which hit theaters in August and surpassed $350 million at the global box office. The project has been at the center of controversy amid the\u00a0ongoing legal battle\u00a0between Lively and director and co-star Justin Baldoni.<\/p>\n

\n\tFeig\u00a0has recently supported Lively\u00a0on social media<\/a>, with the director defending her earlier this month after one Instagram user implied that the actress may have tried to have a disproportionate amount of input on\u00a0A Simple Favor 2<\/em>. \u201cBlake has been nothing but supportive and a dream to work with,\u201d Feig posted at the time. \u201cShe is the best and an amazing collaborator, and I\u2019m her biggest fan.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
