It was revealed after the end of <em>Black Butler: Public School Arc<\/em>, which aired during the Spring 2024 anime season.\u00a0<em>Public School Arc\u00a0<\/em>was the first new\u00a0<em>Black Butler\u00a0<\/em>anime since 2017\u2019s\u00a0<em><i>Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic\u00a0<\/i><\/em>movie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em>Black Butler<\/em>\u00a0is based on the Square Enix-published dark fantasy manga by\u00a0<b>Yana Toboso<\/b>. The Monthly G Fantasy-serialized manga began in 2006 and has 34 tankoubon volumes as of April 2024.
