Ice Cube found himself stuck in his hotel while in Australia when Cyclone Alfred made its way toward the area he was staying in.<\/p>\n

Down Under for a series<\/a> of performances, Cube talked to Australia-based show The Project<\/em> on Wednesday (March 5) and revealed he found the tropical storm quite interesting.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m staying clear of it. It\u2019s pretty cool,\u201d he said. \u201cI haven\u2019t been through a cyclone before. I can check this off my bucket list for sure. You know, I\u2019m right here on the beach. The beach looks like it is going to be in the lobby in a minute.\u201d<\/p>\n

Should it not get cancelled, the legendary rapp<\/a>er will hit Sydney\u2019s ICC Theatre on Friday (March 7), then head to Melbourne\u2019s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Sunday.<\/p>\n

In other Ice Cube news<\/a>, he recently reflected on dissing Dr. Dre and the rest of N.W.A on his legendary diss track \u201cNo Vaseline.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to HipHopDX<\/em>, Cube was asked about his \u201cstick to producing\u201d jab at Dre and said with a laugh: \u201cThat was all I could do, was tell Dre to do what you do best. Get off the mic and leave me alone!<\/em>, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n

He also discussed comparisons between the lyrics and Drake telling Metro Boomin to \u201cshut your ho ass up and make some drums\u201d on his own diss track \u201cFamily Matters.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know [if I inspired that line],\u201d the gangsta rap pioneer admitted before giving props to his former groupmate and his latest album Missionary<\/em> with Snoop Dogg.<\/p>\n

\u201cDre is a formidable MC. Dre put out a record and everybody better run for cover \u2019cause the lyrics gonna be on point, the delivery gonna be on point, the music gonna be on point. He\u2019s a formidable MC so I would never use that line [again].\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview,\u00a0 Cube heaped high praise on fellow California native Tyler, The Creator.<\/p>\n

Asked for his thoughts on the\u00a0Odd Future\u00a0founder\u2019s success, Cube said: \u201cThat\u2019s L.A. That\u2019s the L.A. people don\u2019t know about \u2014 ultra creative individuals who won\u2019t conform to the culture of gangbanging. They\u2019re going to be themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then drew a comparison between Tyler and a particularly legendary West Coast rap group: \u201cHe reminds me of, like,\u00a0The Pharycde. Here\u2019s another: the\u00a0Black Eyed Peas\u00a0come from here.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re going to always have those groups who are going to stay down with their own style and their own flavor, and going to win with it. Because they\u2019re not conforming, they\u2019re not being what you want them to be; they\u2019re being who they are. And you gotta salute that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
