Offset is being accused of assaulting a security guard at a Los Angeles weed dispensary after a fight broke out over the rapp<\/a>er allegedly not having ID.<\/p>\n

TMZ<\/em><\/a> reports that the incident happened at MedMen LAX on Thursday night (March 13). Reps for Offset say the no ID claim is absurd because he\u2019d just gotten off a plane \u2013 which requires an ID to be on.<\/p>\n

They say he was in the process of getting the ID out when the guard started \u201caggressively rushing him\u201d and \u201chawking spit in his face,\u201d which caused Set and his crew to push back. More security from MedMen then got involved, which reportedly resulted in Offset punching the first guard \u2013 and him retaliating by spraying mace at the rapper and everyone he was with.<\/p>\n

Police and paramedics were called to the scene, but Set was gone by then. The guard was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is believed to have pressed charges against the Atlanta native.\u00a0 The extent of his injures are unknown.<\/p>\n

In other news<\/a>, Offset recently announced that he\u2019ll be performing in Russia \u2013 despite the fact that his label\u2019s parent company Universal Music Group pulled all its business out of the country back in 2022 due to the country\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, the former Migos member posted to his Instagram Story, advertising an April 18 show at Moscow\u2019s MTC Live Hall. The venue has the event listed on its website as well<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The show is getting widespread notice because back in March, 2022, UMG closed all its offices in Russia and suspended its operations there. They tied the effort to international sanctions against Russia in the aftermath of its invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe urge an end to the violence in Ukraine as soon as possible,\u201d the company wrote at the time<\/a> when announcing the effort. \u201cWe are adhering to international sanctions and, along with our employees and artists, have been working with groups from a range of countries to support humanitarian relief efforts to bring urgent aid to refugees in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n

UMG\u2019s announcement came on the same day that the United States banned Russian oil imports<\/a> and Shell announced<\/a> its intent to withdraw from all involvement in Russian oil and gas. The European Union had massively expanded their sanctions against Russia<\/a> just days prior.<\/p>\n
