Bitcoiners worldwide strongly disagreed with prominent angel investor Jason Calacanis’ \u201cbuild a better Bitcoin\u201d comment, arguing that layer-2s can fill any functionality gaps.<\/p>\n

A technology<\/a> investor who backed ridesharing app<\/a> Uber in its early days has sparked backlash from the Bitcoin community after claiming Bitcoin will inevitably be replaced by something better.<\/p>\n

\u201cBitcoin has been a wonderful game<\/a>, but with a couple giant players cornering the market, the timing is right to \u201cbuild a better Bitcoin\u201d \u2014 restarting the game,\u201d prominent angel investor and internet entrepreneur Jason Calacanis told<\/a> his 981,600 X followers on March 14.<\/p>\n

Calacanis, an early investor in Bitcoin-related companies like online trading platform Robinhood and Bitcoin startup Keza, said, \u201cAll technology gets replaced over time\u2026 and Bitcoin will be no different.\u201d<\/p>\n
