Netflix is taking its viewers back to the world of Willy Wonka. The streaming service has ordered a new competition series<\/a> inspired by the franchise titled The Golden Ticket<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Those who want entry into Willy Wonka\u2019s Chocolate Factory must first find their own golden ticket. Netflix released a press release with more about the series.<\/p>\n

\u201cLucky contestants will have the chance to enter Wonka\u2019s Chocolate Factory, but there\u2019s a catch \u2013 only players who find a coveted golden ticket will gain entry to the factory. But a golden ticket doesn\u2019t guarantee a sweet ride once the gates open; only those who can adapt, strategize, and withstand the unknown will make it through. Set inside a retro-futuristic dreamscape, this high-stakes social<\/a> experiment will challenge players not just physically, but mentally as they navigate game<\/a>s, tests, and temptations designed to probe their instincts, resilience, and ability to thrive in chaos.<\/p>\n

Netflix acquired the Roald Dahl Story Company in 2021, securing rights to the author\u2019s treasured IP and opening the door for further opportunities to expand the universe of stories across various formats like only Netflix can. THE GOLDEN TICKET is Netflix\u2019s first foray into the exciting world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.<\/p>\n
