\n\tThis time, it\u2019s not Tom Hanks running but rather his son, Chet Hanks.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe music video (below) for Something Out West\u2019s \u2014 the duo consisting of\u00a0Chet and Drew Arthur \u2014 new song \u201cYou Better Run\u201d features scenes inspired by Tom\u2019s 1994 classic film Forrest Gump<\/em> and an app<\/a>earance by the Oscar winner.<\/p>\n

\n\tOne of the most memorable lines from the film is when young Jenny (Hanna Hall) says to a young Forrest (Michael Conner Humphreys), \u201cRun, Forrest, Run,\u201d<\/a> as he\u2019s being chased by bullies on bicycles. Throughout the film, the line symbolizes Forrest\u2019s tendency to keep moving forward, even when facing challenges as a grown man, played by Tom.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the \u201cYou Better Run\u201d music video, Chet recreates the Forrest Gump<\/em> scene, but this time, he\u2019s the one running from bullies in a red pickup truck.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou better run like the devil\u2019s on your tail \/ Like you broke out of jail \/ Like a big storm\u2019s comin\u2019 \/ Run like a wild mustang \/ Like a bullet train \/ Let me tell you somethin\u2019 \/ You\u2019re running out of time on a tickin\u2019 clock \/ She\u2019ll be comin\u2019 for you, there\u2019s no time to walk \/ Run, run, run,\u201d the Running Point<\/em> actor sings.<\/p>\n

\n\tLater in the video, Chet also recreates the scene when Forrest is sitting on the bus bench<\/a> and delivers the iconic line, \u201cMy mom always said, \u2018Life was like a box of chocolates, you never know what you\u2019re going to get.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, Chet isn\u2019t delivering any memorable movie lines. Instead, he\u2019s jammin\u2019 to \u201cYou Better Run\u201d as Tom sits next to him on the bench, seemingly looking disappointed and concerned. Arthur also joins him on the bench in a few clips.<\/p>\n

\n\tForrest Gump<\/em> went on to win six Oscars, including best actor for Tom. In the film, the history of the U.S. from the 1950s to the 1970s unfolds from Forrest\u2019s perspective, an Alabama man with an IQ of 75 who yearns to be reunited with his childhood sweetheart.<\/p>\n
