The Toilet Bound Hanako-kun<\/em> anime<\/a> will continue beyond Season 2, as a sequel has been announced with a July 2025 Japanese broadcast premiere window.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Toilet Bound Hanako-kun\u00a0<\/em>manga began serialization in Square Enix\u2019s Monthly G Fantasy in 2014 and has 23 tankoubon volumes as of December 2024. Yen Press describes it as:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHanako-san, Hanako-san\u2026are you there?\u201d At Kamome Academy, rumors abound about the school\u2019s Seven Mysteries, one of which is Hanako-san. Said to occupy the third stall of the third floor girls\u2019 bathroom in the old school building, Hanako-san grants any wish when summoned. Nene Yashiro, an occult-loving high school girl who dreams of romance, ventures into this haunted bathroom\u2026but the Hanako-san she meets there is nothing like she imagined! Kamome Academy\u2019s Hanako-san\u2026is a boy!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The anime\u2019s first season aired in 2020. A short anime adaptation of the\u00a0After-school Hanako-kun<\/em> spin-off premiered in 2023 and returned for a second season in 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
