\n A viral video shows a golf cart zooming down a highway \u2014 after the passengers app<\/a>arently missed their Lyft ride, footage shows.<\/p>\n

The video shared Saturday to Twitter<\/a> showed a group of five women barreling down the roadway on the woefully ill-equipped vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, that\u2019s just way too dangerous! That\u2019s all we saying. That\u2019s dangerous!\u201d a motorist, who was behind the camera, could be heard saying.<\/p>\n

Two of the women threw up their hands at him as if to say \u201cstop,\u201d but he continued to argue with them.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou all need to pull over. It\u2019s dangerous,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cI don\u2019t want you to get hurt.\u201d<\/p>\n

A woman who said she was the one behind the wheel of the cart later explained why the group resorted to taking the unorthodox vehicle, saying they had missed their Lyft pickup from Bowie, Maryland, to Washington D.C.<\/p>\n

\u201cY\u2019all really think me and my b\u2014hes just gonna ride in the golf cart in the highway,\u201d user @ashiadiorr said in an Instagram story.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo b\u2014h! We really missed our $32 Lyft ride from Bowie to DC!\u201d<\/p>\n

She then reshared the footage to her Instagram page with the caption, \u201cyou can only live once you better live it up.\u201d<\/p>\n

The footage has been seen more than 948,000 times on Twitter as of Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
