March 3 JST saw the establishment of NK Animation<\/strong>, whose scope includes planning, production, and advertising for animated works.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new entity is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japanese film company Nikkatsu<\/strong>.\u00a0As Nikkatsu says in its press release<\/a> (PDF), the move is part of a reorganizing decision that was made at a board meeting in December, with its animation-related operations split off into NK Animation by means of an incorporation-type company split.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Nikkatsu president Naoki Sato <\/strong>is holding the same role at the subsidiary, which has a capital stock value of 50 million yen (~US$336 thousand).<\/span><\/p>\n

The anime<\/a> that Nikkatsu has involvement with include Girlfriend, Girlfriend<\/em>, I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons<\/em>,\u00a0From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad\u2019s Been Reincarnated!<\/em>, and the upcoming My Friend\u2019s Little Sister Has It In for Me!<\/i> The company, whose history stretches back to 1912, lists My<\/em> One-Hit Kill Sister <\/i>and Otaku Elf<\/i>\u00a0as its first anime productions.<\/span><\/p>\n
