Shueisha\u2019s <\/span>MANGA<\/a> Plus<\/span> digital manga app<\/a> and service announced that it has added <\/span>Yoichi Takahashi<\/b>\u2019s original soccer manga series<\/a> <\/span>Captain Tsubasa<\/span><\/i>. All chapters of the manga will be free to read for one week, starting from April 6, 2025 until April 12, 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After April 12, the manga series will be available exclusively through MANGA Plus\u2019s Deluxe Subscription plan.<\/span><\/p>\n

This marks the first time <\/span>Captain Tsubasa <\/span><\/i>will receive an English release. A bilingual edition in Japanese and English was previously released for the \u201ceOneBook\u201d reader device in September 2020.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Takahashi\u2019s original manga ran in Shueisha\u2019s Weekly Shonen Jump from March 31, 1981 to May 9, 1988. A total of 37 tankobon volumes were released during its publication.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The manga also inspired several new manga sequels, one-shots, side stories, novels, and video game<\/a>s. It has been adapted in several long-running TV anime series and films, with the <\/span>most recent installment<\/span> adapting several story arcs between 2018 to 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
