harboring some mixed feelings about her song &#8220;Sofia.&#8221; In 2022, three years after she released the hit song as part of her debut album, <i>Immunity<\/i>, she stopped playing it live for several years to the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/clairo\/comments\/1fz1ow4\/sofia\/\">dismay<\/a> of some of her fans. But this past February, she suddenly brought it back during a set at Australia&#8217;s Laneway Festival, where she and Charli xcx performed it as a duet.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            It turns out the singer did have a change of heart about the track, telling <i><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.seventeen.com\/celebrity\/a64285586\/clairo-interview-2025\/\">Seventeen<\/a><\/i> in a new interview that Charli xcx played a role in helping her re-embrace the song that remains her highest streamed song to date.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            &#8220;It\u2019s so funny \u2014 I didn\u2019t think people would mind that I didn\u2019t play it, but it became a problem. I got myself into a pickle,&#8221; she said. &#8220;We played a few shows, and [Charli] told me she watched my set the day before. But she was like, \u2018Where\u2019s \u2018Sofia\u2019?\u2019 and I said, &#8216;I don\u2019t play it. Don\u2019t you have any songs where you\u2019re just like, \u2018Man, we\u2019ve done it a lot\u2019?\u2019 Then we came up with the idea to play it together. I was like, \u2018Well, if anyone can make me sing it again, I think it would be you, Miss Charli.\u2019&#8221;\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            Though Clairo said she didn&#8217;t mean to cause drama with her decision not playing &#8220;Sofia,&#8221; she acknowledged that she might&#8217;ve subconsciously harbored some complicated feelings around the track as well as her other older songs: &#8220;Especially with \u201cSofia\u201d recently, I feel like I\u2019ve squashed all the beef I have with some of my past songs because people have their own connection to them.
