Baka Not Nice has revealed that Drake talked him out of responding to Kendrick Lamar\u2018s \u201cNot Like Us\u201d taunt.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Hot Freestyle<\/em>, the OVO Sound rapp<\/a>er and former bodyguard to Drizzy opened up about the beef between the two Hip Hop heavyweights and recalled his reaction to Kendrick bringing up his criminal past on the hit diss song.<\/p>\n AD LOADING…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cMy first initial thing was to respond and respond quickly, very efficiently and directly,\u201d he said. \u201cIt started brewing in me because where I come from, you can\u2019t just call out a man and not have paperwork to back it up. It\u2019s ludicrous.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then to see a whole nation behind it and celebrating it like it\u2019s a true story is unbelievable. Everybody has to understand: I have a kid, Drake has a kid, so to be making accusations like that are ridiculous and out of this world.\u201d<\/p>\n Baka then revealed that Drake called him to discuss the diss: \u201cI was building up a lot of anger but then I got a call \u2014 it was like God said something to him. The Boy [Drake] said, \u2018Yo, I know what you\u2019re feeling, I know how you get down but I\u2019m just letting you know, don\u2019t listen to the noise \u2019cause it\u2019s noise.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cIf you go back and look at all these people that are saying things, they\u2019re not even real people, they\u2019re bots,\u201d he added, before continuing to recall Drizzy\u2019s message: \u201cDon\u2019t let that shit bother you, bro. It\u2019s not a good thing but they\u2019re calling your name!\u201d<\/p>\n Baka further dismissed Kendrick\u2019s claims by saying: \u201cAt the end of the day, they\u2019re gonna get over this crap because they\u2019re gonna realize that it\u2019s crap, and then they\u2019re gonna do their own research. And then you\u2019re gonna be like, \u2018Wow, this guy made up a whole story that isn\u2019t even true.\u2019 It makes you look weird to me.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cLive Up To My Name\u201d rapper concluded by saying: \u201cI wanna say one thing to America: y\u2019all need to get yourself together because making serious accusations on people like that, you need to have paperwork.
