Travis Scott made chart history when he re-released his decade-old mixtape Days Before Rodeo<\/em>last year \u2013 and he plans to one day do the same with his 2013 debut mixtape, Owl Pharaoh<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In his new cover story for Complex<\/em><\/a>, La Flame was asked about putting the tape on streaming services as he was reflected on the aforementioned success of Days Before Rodeo<\/em>\u2018s re-release.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, definitely. For sure,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m just thinking about the right time for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Days Before Rodeo<\/em> arrived on streamers for its 10th anniversary, that milestone has since passed for Owl Pharaoh<\/em> \u2013 but there\u2019s always the 15-year mark in 2028!<\/p>\n

As for DBR<\/em>\u2018s chart history \u2013 after initially debuting at number two with over 360,000 equivalent units before tumbling down the chart down to number 106, the project saw a historic surge to the top spot thanks almost entirely to vinyl sales.<\/p>\n

According to Billboard<\/a><\/em>, Days Before Rodeo<\/em> earned 156,000 equivalent units in its fourth week, with 149,000 of that figure comprised of vinyl sales which were made exclusively through the rapp<\/a>er\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the biggest ever sales week for a rap album on vinyl, and the sixth largest across all genres since tracking began in 1991.<\/p>\n

Scott previously held the record within Hip Hop with his 2023 album Utopia<\/em>, which sold 93,000 viny copies in a single week.<\/p>\n

Days Before Rodeo<\/em> also marks La Flame\u2019s fourth number one on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n

The Houston rapper previously objected to\u00a0Days Before Rodeo<\/em>\u2018s debut chart position, claiming that Billboard<\/em> had used \u201cunreliable and incomplete\u201d data to place him second behind Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s Short N\u2019 Sweet<\/em> by a narrow margin.<\/p>\n

Scott\u2019s Cactus Jack Records wrote a letter to the publication accusing it of over-weighting Carpenter\u2019s sales through independent stores, but ultimately, Billboard<\/em> remained firm in their listing, denying claims that their figures were not accurate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
