Well, today this API access is rolling out and Google is giving us 10 days, not 8 days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Google said.<\/strong> Google posted on <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/googlesearchc\/status\/1909969524742377922\">X<\/a> just now saying, \u201cToday, we\u2019re adding support for hourly data to the Search Analytics API; we heard ecosystem requests to make this data more accessible, loud and clear. To show you data as soon as possible, Search Console will show data points as soon as we have any data on them, even if we haven\u2019t completed collecting all the data for these points. We will indicate this in the UI using a dotted line.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Technical details. <\/strong>Google posted some examples <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/search\/blog\/2025\/04\/san-hourly-data\">over here<\/a> that say:<\/p>\n<p>In order to make hourly data available in the Search Analytics API, we\u2019re introducing 2 changes to the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/webmaster-tools\/v1\/searchanalytics\/query#request-body\">API request body<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New\u00a0<code>ApiDimension<\/code>\u00a0named\u00a0<code>HOUR<\/code>\u00a0for you to group the response by hour.<\/li>\n<li>New\u00a0<code>dataState<\/code>\u00a0value named\u00a0<code>HOURLY_ALL<\/code>, which should be used when grouping by HOUR. This will indicate that hourly data might be partial.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the following section we provide a sample API request and a sample response for reference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Export.\u00a0<\/strong>Google added the ability to\u00a0export the data\u00a0in a few file formats back in January. But now you also can access the data via the API, so you can get more real-time data to your internal tools or third-party SEO tools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why we care.\u00a0<\/strong>Being able to access this data outside of the web interface in Google Search Console can be super helpful when trying to debug and discover new insights. Having API access lets you program your own reporting and dashboards to see this data, in almost real time, from Google Search Console.
