\n\tBlumhouse TV has finally found its new president: Melissa Aouate of Fabel Entertainment.<\/p>\n

\n\tAouate replaces Chris McCumber, the former USA Network executive who left the role in October 2023. Jason Gold, the president of production at Blumhouse TV, took on the role in the interim.<\/p>\n

\n\tBlumhouse TV\u2019s unscript<\/a>ed department will continue to be overseen by Gretchen Palek, its head of alternative television, the company said on Thursday. Rob Hackett continues as the head of television for Atomic Monster, which operates as its own label within Blumhouse. (Jason Blum\u2019s Blumhouse and James Wan\u2019s Atomic Monster merged in 2024, creating a safe haven for horror \u2014 if there could be such a thing. The two labels had previously worked together on Insidious<\/em>, M3GAN<\/em>, and Night Swim<\/em>.)<\/p>\n

\n\tBlumhouse TV produces the recently-released The Bondsman<\/em>\u00a0starring Kevin Bacon and the upcoming\u00a0Scarpetta<\/em>\u00a0series<\/a> starring Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis for Amazon Prime Video. It is also the banner behind Showtime\u2019s\u00a0The Good Lord Bird<\/em>\u00a0and HBO\u2019s Sharp Objects<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAouate was president and partner at Fabel for the past nine years. Fabel Entertainment is known for having created Bosch<\/em>. It also produces Brilliant Minds<\/em> for NBC.<\/p>\n

\n\tPrior to Fabel, Aouate was a literary agent at ICM Partners.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
