OMB Peezy was reportedly targeted at a shooting that went down outside of a club in North Carolina over the weekend.<\/p>\n

According to a report from CBS 17<\/em>, the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning (April 13) outside the StarBar in east Raleigh. Witnesses say that when the club let out, over 20 shots were fired at Peezy\u2019s sprinter van as he attempted to leave the parking lot.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would say about 4am is when we heard shots fired outside the club and everybody pretty much ran outside,\u201d one witness said. \u201cWe couldn\u2019t really tell where the shots were coming from.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to the rapp<\/a>er\u2019s sprinter van, four other cars were hit with gunfire \u2013 and additional cars were damaged when Peezy\u2019s driver sped off and hit them. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

Police are investigating the shooting as an aggravated assault.<\/p>\n

Back in 2021, police showed up at OMB Peezy\u2019s door and told him he was under arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.<\/p>\n

Peezy, who\u2019d just gotten off a seven-year probation stint, says he didn\u2019t understand why cops were outside.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just trying to figure out what the fuck was going on, why the police at my door for,\u201d Peezy told HipHopDX.<\/em> \u201cBecause if I done did anything, I would have been gone. If I was guilty of anything, you wouldn\u2019t have caught me at my muthafuckin\u2019 house, straight the fuck up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite Peezy\u2019s protests, Atlanta police and U.S. Marshals took the Alabama rapper to the Fulton County Jail\u00a0<\/a>with bond set at $60,000. As Peezy was led away in handcuffs, he remembers saying one sentence over and over again: \u201cY\u2019all got the wrong one, baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peezy\u2019s arrest came off the heels of an incident on February 21 in a scrapyard at 598 Wells Street in Atlanta, Georgia. Roddy Ricch and 42 Dugg were shooting a music video for their new single \u201c4 Da Gang\u201d when gunshots broke out, leaving three men injured. Ricch and Dugg were not harmed.<\/p>\n

Despite fans speculating about if Peezy had beef with Ricch or Dugg, he said people were jumping to conclusions without facts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have no smoke with Roddy Ricch,\u201d he told DX. \u201cI don\u2019t have no smoke with 42 Dugg. Nobody from CMG [Collective Music Group], no none of that. They love me over there in Roddy Ricch hood; I love them back too.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut you know, the internet will try to run with it and try to make their own story and shit. But I don\u2019t have no problem with them people and they don\u2019t have no problem with me. Like real talk, it really isn\u2019t no beef; never was no beef.\u201d<\/p>\n

He was acquitted on the charges just over a year later.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
