The ruling could fundamentally reshape how digital advertising operates across the internet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Between the lines.<\/strong> The DOJ successfully argued that Google monopolized three separate markets in the ad tech space: publisher ad tools, advertiser ad networks, and the ad exchanges facilitating transactions between them.<\/p>\n<p>The government\u2019s case centered on how Google\u2019s dominance allowed it to extract monopoly profits from publishers and advertisers while eliminating viable alternatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The other side.<\/strong> Google released an official response on <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NewsFromGoogle\/status\/1912892999047971152\">X<\/a>, saying some of their tools don\u2019t harm competition and that they disagree with the Court\u2019s decision:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cWe won half of this case and we will <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eal the other half. The Court found that our advertiser tools and our acquisitions, such as DoubleClick, don\u2019t harm competition. We disagree with the Court\u2019s decision regarding our publisher tools. Publishers have many options and they choose Google because our ad tech tools are simple, affordable and effective.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Google also defended itself by claiming the government\u2019s market definitions were contrived and didn\u2019t reflect reality.
