There was a lot of stuff that didn\u2019t make it on there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cThere was just some things in there that I didn\u2019t think would have been beneficial in the long run to put in there. We had been pretty close-mouthed about it [\u2026] He played the record for Top [Dawg]. I talked to Top and he told me a little bit about the record so I hit Dot like, \u2018It\u2019s going down?\u2019 He said, \u2018Yeah, we\u2019ll see what\u2019s up.\u2019 [He was] laughing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople think that this is so serious but it\u2019s funny. This n-gga is from Compton, California, bro. Where he grew up, it\u2019s serious over there \u2014 you getting shot at, you getting home invasions, you getting gang wars. We\u2019re talking about music, bruh, so it\u2019s funny! So I hear the record and I\u2019m like, \u2018Yeah, it\u2019s up. It\u2019s go time now, baby.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Drake\u2019s \u201cPush Ups\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy first response was, \u2018It\u2019s not enough.\u2019 It was cool, it was cute. I see where you going, but those angles are not gonna be enough. It\u2019s as simple as that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>On why \u201cTaylor Made Freestyle\u201d was Drake\u2019s \u201cfirst mistake\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI read it as his first mistake. To me, it felt like a mockery of the West Coast. So when you do that, you\u2019re gonna unite it. If there was any type of division at that time, once you do that, you\u2019re gonna get all the people together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>On why Drake\u2019s \u201cFamily Matters\u201d was also a \u201cmistake\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had the same thought with \u2018Family Matters\u2019 that I did with \u2018Push Ups,\u2019 and that was: <em>It\u2019s not enough<\/em>. I think another mistake that they made was giving the idea that they was finna <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realalmightee\/status\/1786602995938910502\" target=\"_blank\">push this red button<\/a>. When you do that, you build the anticipation a bit too high, so now people have expectations. Like, \u2018I\u2019m finna hear some stuff now! It\u2019s over now!\u2019 [\u2026] That thing drops. [It was like], \u2018Okay, you got dirty, you went far. Aiight, let\u2019s go further!&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Kendrick\u2019s Easter eggs in the battle:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was super calculated.
