This article will cover:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What are Life Events segments in Google Ads?<\/li>\n<li>How are Life Events different from In-Market segments in Google Ads?<\/li>\n<li>Which Life Events can you target in Google Ads?<\/li>\n<li>Can you use Life Events in all campaign types?<\/li>\n<li>Tips for using Life Events effectively in Google Ads<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-are-life-events-segments-in-google-ads\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_Life_Events_segments_in_Google_Ads\"><\/span>What are Life Events segments in Google Ads?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Life events segments are one of the four types of audience targeting you can use in Google Ads based on the data that Google has about its users. <\/p>\n<p>With this option, you can target users based on major transitions they are experiencing.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-are-life-events-different-from-in-market-segments-in-google-ads\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_are_Life_Events_different_from_In-Market_segments_in_Google_Ads\"><\/span>How are Life Events different from In-Market segments in Google Ads?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When you go to use Life Events in Google Ads, you\u2019ll often find them grouped with In-Market segments under a category called \u201cWhat they are actively researching or planning.\u201d This is because both of these audience types leverage Google\u2019s proprietary data to categorize users around temporary stages in their lives.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For In-Market segments, those \u201ctemporary stages\u201d are when someone is currently researching or planning a purchase. It can be a purchase as small as \u201cRazors &amp; Shavers\u201d or as large as \u201cNew Houses (For Sale).\u201d In-Market segments are product- or service-focused.<\/li>\n<li>For Life Events, those \u201ctemporary stages\u201d are when someone is going through a specific change in their life, like getting married or graduating from college. Life Events segments are human-focused.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-which-life-events-can-you-target-in-google-ads\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Which_Life_Events_can_you_target_in_Google_Ads\"><\/span>Which Life Events can you target in Google Ads?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are nine categories of Life Events you can use in your Google Ads campaigns:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Business creation<\/li>\n<li>College graduation<\/li>\n<li>Home renovation<\/li>\n<li>Job change<\/li>\n<li>Marriage<\/li>\n<li>Moving<\/li>\n<li>New pet<\/li>\n<li>Purchasing a home<\/li>\n<li>Retirement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For each category, you can target people who are <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roaching<\/strong> these milestones or have <strong>recently completed<\/strong> them. For instance, a pet store could target individuals who are \u201cabout to get a new pet,\u201d those who \u201crecently got a new pet,\u201d or both.<\/p>\n<p>Some Life Events categories have sub-categories, too.
